Bon jour! I’m Laura, the designer and hand letterer of all things Le Bella Designs. My business stems from my love for making letters beautiful through the art of calligraphy and graphic design.

Lettering and art have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. From doodling letters with chalk on the pavement as a child, to incorporating modern calligraphy into a bride’s dream invitation. I have always been known as the girl who can “write pretty.”

For many years lettering was just a fun hobby, but as more and more of my friends asked me to write things for them, the more I thought about doing what I love for a living. In the Spring of 2017, I decided to make the business official. If you have ever started your own business, you may understand how difficult it can be to come up with a unique business name that you genuinely love and won’t get tired of. I knew I wanted a name for my company that was elegant and simple. As I was brainstorming what to call my next adventure, I looked to my trusty fur baby and a light bulb went off. My furry sidekick’s name is Bella, which in French means beautiful. So, I took two things I love most – beautiful lettering and my dog and created Le Bella Designs.
